No Needle Is Often Possible
With the use of new anesthetic agents (absorbed via patches), deep gum cleaning can often be done without needles. In additin, small cavities can be treated with a gentle stream of air and particles (air abrasion), followed by a bonded white filling. Larger cavities can also be treated with a combination of air abrasion and lasers, follwed by white composite fillings. Lasers also used to treat gum problems without the need for invasive surgery.
